Slacker alert!

  SORRYSORRYSORRY! I know I've been saying it all week to everyone that I'll be posting a baby shower gift haul, I was supposed to do it every day this week actually, but for realz people, this week has been kicking my booty! Work has been crazy hectic, and I'm only assuming it's because everyone lost their minds over the 3 day weekend we had. And by time I get a little down time in between paperwork to do something for myself on the computer, I just try to catch up on y'alls exciting lives! Then, when I finally feel like posting it all, my Mom informs me I received more gifts in the mail, or someone at works brings me in a gift bag of goodies! Which means I need to take more pictures of the new shtuff. So forgive me, I will hopefully get to the baby-full post by this weekend.   And yayyyyyyyyyyyyyy for the weekend! Laz and I really need to relax and sleep in a bit together. Him especially because he's been working 1 month straight with all his overtime he's put in on the weekends, and his extra training for his new "promotion". Although I don't know how relaxing it'll get since we still have to get baby-ready. There's only 33 days left til our little girl pops into this work, and I'm already feeling the rush of it all. So after some sleep, it'll be shopping for the essentials we didn't receive as gifts, registering at the hospital, and setting up the apartment some more. FUN FUN FUN! If we get everything on my list all done Saturday, I promised him a do-nothing-day Sunday, full of movies and chili cheese fries he loves so much. And I know he'll bust his ass for some of my yummy junk food.   I hope everyone has a great weekend!! :)

YAY for a 3-day weekend!

This was yesterday's update, but I linked up today...So for everyone who didn't get to read it here ya go!

   I couldn't have been happier waking up my husband for work, knowing I didn't have to join him. Sounds cruel, but he only works a  half day, at the most, and gets paid overtime plus holiday since it's Labor Day. So hubby will have a nice paycheck this week. ;)   So let's recap now with Sami's Shenanigans and:

Friday after work, I ran over with my enormous ankles to get a pedicure. Just what the swollen feet ordered! I got Essie's Knockout Pout put on my toes, in celebration for my baby shower on Saturday! Laz picked me up after, and we headed over to the clubhouse where the party was being thrown, to help with the last minute set up. Laz, my mom, and her friends basically put the whole party together before I even got there, and it looked great!   I woke up lat Saturday morning, with enough time to get ready, and get Laz moving when he got home from work. Then we picked up some food that was ordered for the party, and started the festivities!

 And since most people I come across in Florida don't know what a "Wishing Well" is, I'll tell y'all just in case. It's where you put little extra goodie presents for the mommy-to-be, like wipes, diapers, pacifiers, bibs...all the little stuff. Most women do them for their bridal showers too. And no, it doesn't have to be an actual well, but my parents and friends are crazy and talented and did this just for me. :)

Sorry for all the pictures, but that was actually cutting it down a lot. In most of them I had some scary, mid-sentence mouth going on, or about 3 chins, so it wasn't that hard to chose the best ones. I'll show y'all some more of my gifts during the week, it was crazy how much I received from such a small group of friends. Laz and I are extremely grateful for everyone's generosity and love that went into to putting this adorable party together.
And for yesterday, Sunday, we took it easy. I couldn't sleep so I stayed up as Laz went off to work and I started watching a marathon of The Hills, I don't care, I still love that show, and Justin Bobby. Judge all you want people!!!! Then Laz came home, and I put him to work sweeping and mopping the floors, cause the baby doesn't like those chores. ;) And he even offered to put together her playpen since I'm getting into countdown mode and want everything set up like, last week. It's adorable! And where she'll be sleeping until we move out in January when our lease is up. It even has a changing table and diaper organizer attached, so pictures of that soon too! Afterwards we headed to our friends house with my parents for a BBQ and the men played poker. Then the uncomfortableness settled in and it was time to put this preggo lady to bed. 
Today all we want to do is watch movies on the couch to enjoy our last day of this long weekend, yay! We have The Lorax, Safe, and Think Like a Man...good job hubby!

TGI-FLIPPIN-F!!!

Seriously guys, could this week have gone by anyyyyy sloooowerrrrr?! It was probably due to my anxiety being through the roof, and getting all sorts of horrible sleep. I can't stand waiting for anything like:

• My baby shower (finally tomorrow!)
• a much needed 3 day weekend
• This little bun I've been baking in my belly for 8 months now

And let's talk about this little bun for a few, shall we? I get uncomfortable quite often. The weather is disgustingly hot in this sticky place I call home, the very tip of Florida, so swollen feet and ankles happen. I deal. I complain, but I deal. I can't bend over anymore, it's more like I squat, after I curse out whatever is too low or fell out of my clumsy hands. And sure sometimes she crushes my lungs to the point where I can't breathe in or out, I just gasp waiting for her to give me a break. I can handle it all. Not a problem.   Until I got this really low cramp, like a period cramp, about where her head is at right now, down in position. And my belly got rock hard. Then it spread out to my hips and into my lower back. That wasn't so fun. It wasn't incredibley painful, which is why I didn't freak and run for the hospital. I just calmy texted my mom, who told me it sounded like a contraction, and to start timing them. OH HOORAY! 33 weeks along and I'm going into labor?! Or at least that's what was going through my head. So I checked the time, and waited, and waited, and watched Four Weddings, and waited some more. Until I got another so far after the 1st one I forgot how long it had been, which eased my mind a bit since the contractions weren't being consistant. So I got as comfortable as I could and passed out on top of the covers, to be woken up by alarm, as if I slept for 5 horrible minutes.   I'm still having them randomly this morning as I sit here, at work, trying to get stuff done. I might've had 3 in the last 4 hours, so I'm not too worried I'll be having my baby shower in the hospital tomorrow. But with my luck, who the hell knows what could happen.   She'd be a nice little gift though. :)   But some more baking in that oven would do her good.   And now to get sidetracked, and to speak of more buns baking in the oven, or maybe how Honey Boo Boo heard it, "Bacon? Bacon?!" Her sister Chickadee had her baby, Kaitlyn, and so far she has no horrible nickname to speak of...BUT she does have 3 thumbs!!!!!!!!!!!! Look at it, there's proof, and also proof that they really are gross and dip newborn baby's pacifers in Mountain Dew. I don't know why I keep watching the show, and the reruns, and google it during work...but that's our society for y'all, obsessed with the strange.   Have a good weekend everybody, I'll keep you posted if anything exciting happens!

The worst thing I made was 2 loaves of banana bread, without frosting, and both times I gave chunks to my parents to eat. I'm so boring. I need to enjoy these last few weeks as a fatty!! :P   PS: Now I'm starving, so it's BANANA TIME!
